Grand Hall

The Grand Hall is a 1,000-seater venue for both academic and cultural activities, is located at the heart of the Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, which is the focal point of the Centennial Campus. The Hall is built on the site of an underground reservoir that served various areas of Hong Kong Island. Now, with its remarkable architectural design and dazzling acoustics, the Hall aspires to be a vital “reservoir of knowledge” for academic and cultural activities, serving the region and beyond.

Designed by Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd., the Hall has been built as a modern and multi-functional box-in-box structure with two stage sizes capable of supporting a wide variety of professional and international events, such as concerts, film screenings, ceremonies, academic conferences and lectures. The Hall also has excellent noise isolation making it perhaps the venue with the best acoustics in Hong Kong.
